What to Expect

Your pampas may arrive compressed, so allow 24–48 hours for it to open. Some fibre shedding is normal, and slight colour variation can occur between batches. Deep dyed colours can transfer (especially dark colours), so please avoid dampness or running the pampas through the palm of your hands. No watering is needed, so it can be displayed year-round. A 40cm vase looks great as it is 1/3 of the total height. for a smaller vase bend the stems at a suitable point. For a larger vase create height inside the vase by filling the bottom so that the pampas sits higher (floor vases for example)

Keeping Them Looking Their Best

Dust monthly with a soft cloth or a hairdryer on a cool, gentle setting. Avoid strong direct sunlight. Do not wash or submerge. If flattened, gently reshape the plumes by hand.

Trimming Your Stems

Stems can be trimmed with wire cutters. Cut at an angle from the bottom, never through the plume. A finished display height of around 60–120cm works well depending on the vase and room.

Colour Mixing Guide

Natural beige and cream pair well with sage green, terracotta and blush. Bleached white works well with navy or charcoal. Use dyed colours as accent stems, usually one or two.

Layering & Arrangement Tips

Vary the stem heights, placing taller stems at the back and shorter stems at the front. Fan stems outward for a fuller shape. Mix with dried botanicals if desired. Use a heavy vase, or add pebbles or sand for stability.

How Many Stems Do You Need?

Small vase (under 20cm): 1–3 stems. Medium vase (20–40cm): 3–6 stems. Large vase (40cm+): 6–9 stems. Tip: odd numbers usually look more natural.
